Short tip this week. If you’re researching US stocks, you look in the EDGAR database http://www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml for official government filings. But if you’re researching Canadian stocks, the place you want go is the SEDAR database at http://www.sedar.com.
The SEDAR data base is a lot friendlier and easier to use than EDGAR. It’s not just for stock research. If you want to find out how the US arm of a Canadian company is doing, check out SEDAR.
