Don Steinmann founded Advanced Financial Management in 1995 to help individuals manage their investments.  In 2022, AFM merged with Emergent Wealth Advisors to provide more complete financial management, including financial, tax and estate planning.

In 1998, to help investors better grasp the confusing financial services universe he started publishing his ‘Investment Tip of the Week‘.  Don published his original tips for 25 years, with well over 1,000 tips sent to his email subscribers.  This archive represents his ’greatest hits’ of investment tips over that time. 

Don is the former Chair of the Applied Behavioral Finance Group of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Los Angeles, and also the former Chair of the CFALA’s Advocacy and Ethics Committee. 

He holds a bachelors degree in Information Systems from Excelsior College in Albany, New York, and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School in Edinburgh, Scotland.
